The free hydration app you can't ignore

Most water reminder apps send a notification you swipe away. Waterbreak locks the apps you scroll until you take a real drink of water, so the reminder actually works.

Why water reminders stop working

Water tracker apps are good at two things: telling you to drink and letting you log it. Both depend on you. After a week the notifications blend in with everything else on your lock screen, and logging becomes one more chore. The reminder is easy to ignore because ignoring it costs nothing.

Waterbreak flips that. Instead of asking you to remember, it waits at the moment you reach for your phone, which you were going to do anyway.

How it works

  1. Pick the apps that eat your day. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, games, anything. Waterbreak locks them on a rhythm you set, for example every 45 minutes.
  2. Take a sip on camera. When they lock, open Waterbreak and drink for a few seconds. The camera checks that it's a real drink, with your face and a bottle in view, entirely on your phone.
  3. Get back to it. Your apps unlock for a while, and every bottle you finish counts toward your daily goal. Once you hit the goal, they stay open for the rest of the day.
